Hey everyone! Its theseawolf, glad to see so many have gotten there safely and hopefully the rest of the runners and attendees will make it soon.
I am usually in a great mood during AGDQ, and I am still hype as ever and glad for it to being moving forward at such a rapid pace and with such a beastly schedule. But as many of you know, I am carrying some baggage this year. Today is one month since the passing of my grandmother from liver cancer. It robbed her of her dignity, her self-determination and lastly her life. I am filled everyday with profound sadness at the unfairness of it all, and the distinct horror that my scenario is not unique. I am forever haunted by her last words, and I have determined to fill the hole in my being left by her passing with an increased dedication to always help any *GDQ I can in any way I can. I hope to be there in person next year, to help out, run tech, process stuff and, Uyama willing, run something. To all my friends there, those I have met or not met yet, have a blast! Runners, tech crew and all the unsung heroes, soldier on with my undying appreciation. And I am sooooo glad taunting the animals has made a glorious comeback.
