Hello GDQers. It's been a great week of gaming and supporting an amazing cause, and this wonderful community has been such a comfort to me for so many years. As you all know, life has been very difficult for our LGBTQ+ friends, and as a trans woman in Florida, I've been having a pretty rough time. But your love and support during the Celeste run really meant so much to me at a time when it's hard to just keep putting one foot in front of them other.
So, I have a request: Final Fantasy IV was such a formative part of my childhood, and Rydia in particular has always been one of my favorite video game characters. So it would mean so much to me if we could get her name to be TRANSRIGHTS. I know there are so many great incentives right now, but I would love it if we could get that immortalized in the annals of GBQ history. Regardless, the generosity and love from this community has always been and will always continue to be an amazing source of hope for our future. Remember, even when times seem tough, you are important, you are valid, you are seen, you are loved. Thank you again for a great week, and let's finish strong! |
