This prize is a 14" x 28" original applique art quilt made by Kestrel Michaud. The design is a custom illustration depicting Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong from the level Mine Cart Madness in the game Donkey Kong Country. The artwork is made from 346 individual appliqued pieces of cotton fabric. The quilt itself is made with cotton batting and backing and was stitched in a raw-edge applique style using 100wt polyester thread.
