I don't--I know this won't be read, we all have to keep the mood up since this is gonna be an extremely emotional ending to a highly emotional week and this donation being read definitely wouldn't help :). But if I don't at least express just how much everyone has meant to me, I will won't be happy. Because I truly can't put into words just how much you all mean to me as a viewer.
This all started with SpeedDemosArchive back in the early days of the internet, when the option to upload a run was sending a VHS/DVD (which you'd record via DVD recorder... lol) since it was expensive to capture correctly at a decent quality. It started with just games I knew, but then games I kinda knew, and finally I was just watching them. I always thought it was my ADHD or my environment or maybe both. Yeah it kind of is, but I realize now that its because I love seeing everyone else's successes. :) In 2014 I was having a tough time, but seeing the speedrun event that year with the wacky bonus week...I realized it slowly helped me. The safe space went from a week0ish, to two weeks, then other events spread around And I want to specifically thank, you, Mike Uyama, ultimately, without you fighting to host it in your basement, GDQ never would have gotten to where it was today. As I write this I had to correct from "we" to "GDQ" or simliar, but that truly made me realize: It is we, GDQ is not only an organization: But its every individual here or not: Mike Uyama, Sumi, the tech crew, the hosts, other positions we don't see, the runners, and even the viewers and that extends to every show and event from the early days to 2023. GDQ is everyone :). We are all in this together and together we can help Games Done Quick rise above and beyond. As sappy as that sounds. I know that's how I feel. :) Thank you again! \[T]/ Praise the sun! Lets extend GDQ and get that ALTTP incentive. I'm putting my $75 towards that even though I technically shouldn't. Because I want everyone to succeed, there's no point in a selfish success at the expensive of everyone else. Thank you all! ps I'm really bad at endings pss This is mostly for my sake atm: sorry if its disjointed or errored. I rewrote and adjusted paragraphs and I'm gonna accept that it's not perfect.
