$5 donation in the name of my own cats, Katie and Jewel.
Jewel was given to me by my Oma, and was one of the last litters from a local feral cat named Mama. One rainy day, she insisted on coming inside, and from then on, lived on my Oma's couch and refused to eat anything except treats, and demanded scritches from anyone who sat on her couch. Sadly, Mama passed away last year, but her last years were definitely in comfort compared to her life on the streets. |
