Hey AGDQ. This donation is given in honor of my friend Ashley, who was taken from us by cancer this past Fall. I had the privilege of setting up a donation box at work this past week to raise the funds for this donation. Ashley was such a powerful force in so many people's lives, showing people kindness, love, and perseverance. She was full of love for so many: her husband, Alex; her family, her friends, and her community, especially those of us at MAGFest. Just so, she was loved by more than she or any of us could ever know, which is why I thought to organize this collective donation.
If I could make one request, after this donation is read, I'd like to hear and see a "We love you, Ashley" from everyone in chat and on stream. Ashley had such a positive impact on so many lives. Now, through her memory and through GDQ, she can still impact countless more. From the hearts that she touched, and all the lives that she changed, we want to show you our love. This one's for you, Ashley. We love you. <3 |
