A good buddy of mine and I participated in a Halo 1 LAN tournament when I was in junior college and were fortunate enough to be able to team up with two super-nice guys who turned out to be utterly AMAZING at Halo. Our team ultimately won the tournament and was given first choices at the prizes on offer. That and other experiences while playing the original Halo are why I fondly remember it to this day.
