Just over a year ago, I was deployed to Afghanistan who had a chronic cough. He was consistently told it was allergies. 3 months into our deployment, on the onsite doc decided to get an x-ray of his chest. Turns out, he had a type of lung cancer that had been developing for over a year. He left early and was medically reassigned to Walter Reed. He now supports the Wounded Warrior Project. Here's to hoping that the Prevent Cancer Foundation finds ways to provide easier screening for cancer and people don't get written off like my old colleague. Willis, if you're watching this, I hope you're doing well bud.(Don't read this. My name is pronounced like ginger. First G sounds like a J)
