On Christmas Eve, I got a phone call that my mother, who has had 6 heart surgeries, and a stroke that robbed her of a lot of her independence, has just been diagnosed with Lymphoma. While the doctors are optimistic, cancer still absolutely sucks, and there are plenty of others who aren't that lucky. I hope one day modern medicine takes that next step, and puts an end to cancer once and for all. |
