I've been enjoying GDQs for years now and it never gets old. My father passed away 9 years ago from brain cancer. He bought me an SNES without me asking when I was 5 and loved Super Mario World. When I got an N64, I wanted 007. While I realized shortly after I didn't like FPSs, he realized he loved them and beat the game sitting on the floor of my tiny room. I still cherish those memories we shared together through gaming.
He lived for 7 years after a 6 month prognosis. Here's hoping my meager $5 can extend the lives of those affected by cancer even longer in the future. Thanks to the runners and everyone else who helps make GDQs happen. I am extremely grateful. |
