Mother 1 was (and still is) a really unique game with a lot of emotional moments for me. I found the characters more engaging and better than Earthbound, and I feel the story was overall darker. While Mother 3 is a better game in both gameplay and story, I will never forget the impact Mother 1 gave me when I emulated it as a teenager. |
