I still remember being a child and receiving an NES with SMB1, and the many days lost trying to beat it. Those moments built a bridge to a lifelong love of video games. While many game series would come and go after then, none had legs like the Super Marble series and I would always return to play each installment. So it's no surprise that when I heard that a group of gamers would be racing ALL the classic games in the series I said to myself, "WAOW! I cannot miss this." It's even more amazing that they're doing this all to raise money for Doctors Without Borders. There's no way I could not donate during this run. Even though nobody I told understood why I would take days off work to watch people beat video games quickly, and some even poked fun, I say "Suck it rest of the world." There's nothing better than seeing the games I loved in my youth being destroyed for the people. Good luck to all the runners and save those animals. |
