Stop me if you’re already heard about this, but…
Global warming and melting arctic ice has obviously been terrible for dog-sledding culture, and for local travel & tourism industries which rely upon it. But I think I have a short-term fix: you see, what if, instead of pulling traditional sleds, the dogs pulled small, lightweight row-boats on skids, complete with emergency paddles hung off the sides? That way, if you have to cross a thawed river, or if you misjudge the thickness of the ice sheet and end up falling through, you’re already on a boat and can row your way across and keep going! I’d like to set up a new dogsled experience agency dedicated to this new revised style of sled. The name of the agency should, of course, be obvious: “Dog Tours With OutBoard Oars” … Okay, but seriously. Unfortunate family events may keep me from watching the end of the marathon this time, so I want to put in some early support for singing to the whole new world of saving the Demon Chocobo, among other animals. Oh, and props on the Save the Buddybot % in Shatterhand earlier today! |
