Cancer has been around my life more than I would want. Two of my friends were lucky enough to survive, one with breast, the other testicular. But two in my family weren't so lucky. My grandfather lost his fight with lung cancer, but after five long years, but my cousin really got hit hard, and in less than a year. If there's one type of cancer that can benefit from early detection more than any other, it's bone marrow cancer. My cousin had small amounts of cancer develop in his bone marrow and quickly spread into his bloodstream, from there it went to his throat, thyroid, lungs, kidneys, and bladder. He stayed positive throughout despite the circumstances, but thanks to organizations like PCF I have hope others might not have to go through what he had to go through.
