I was diagnosed with Leukemia (high-risk AML) last October at the age of 30. I underwent a stem cell transplant in March and am on the (long) road to recovery. Navigating a cancer diagnosis, especially as a young adult has been incredibly challenging, but the effort from PCF and similar organizations serve as beacons of light in such a dark time. We appreciate all that you do. Quick shout out to please join the NMDP registry if you are able, your potential stem cell donation provides the only shot at a cure for many blood cancers! I wouldn't be here without my donor and I will forever be in awe they save a life of a complete stranger. |
