My mother has, and is still fighting cancer. The improvements in treatment have come an astronomically long way since her battle began. Treatments only applicable by select specialists, located hours of expensive flight away are now readily available in my corner-of-nowhere city. There is a vaccine in development that could change the way we fight certain types of cancer, which is rapidly approaching testing phase. We are beginning to understand how to program our own immune system to target cancerous mutation. The battle against cancer is far from over, but now, more than ever, there is hope. also fun fact: wurmple's likelihood of evolving into silcoon is greatly affected by wether or not it evolves into cascoon. |
