Here's a science fact, humans can't feel wetness! We don't have hygroreceptor nerves so we can't touch something and know for sure if it is wet. Instead we have to feel the properties of the material and know what wet feels like (cold, drippy, heavy, etc.) This is why it can be hard to tell if something is cold or wet, like if you check your laundry after it sits in the dryer too long! Insects and spiders have the hygroreceptors so they can feel wet in ways we never will! |
