Heir to the Empire is, in fact, the first appearance of Grand Admiral Thrawn, the best character in the entire Star Wars universe. Fun facts: Timothy Zahn, the author of the trilogy (and all of the modern day Thrawn books) was approached by LucasArts to write a sequel to Return of the Jedi. These books were the very first of the expanded universe, and the original sequel trilogy--the sequel trilogy we deserved rather than the one we got. |
