I'm a queer high school teacher in Florida and the information the host just gave about Lambda Legal's advocacy for our students inspired me to donate again. I've been teaching for ten years and have watched the political landscape for queer people get worse and worse, especially in my home state. Organizations like Lambda Legal are helping to keep me and my students safe and are empowering me to continue to be comfortably out AND supportive of my students every single day. Ensuring that LGBTQ+ individuals are safe is a cause near and dear to my heart and I live for the day when I don't have to worry about my safety, the safety of my students, the safety of my friends, and everyone in the queer community. Love everyone here, you are valid, loved, and NEEDED. Please stay safe. I love you. |
