I remember watching AGDQ for the first time in 2015 with a Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 100% run ran by ZFG. The skills shown in that race made me want to become a speed runner myself. It turned out though I was awful at it, so instead of becoming a speed runner, I went to medical school. During hours of studying or long night shifts in residency I would always have speed runs playing in the background, with runs from GDQs holding a special place in my heart. I recently completed residency and now I get to spend my days helping patients with their preventative screenings and ensuring they have everything they need to fight their battles against cancer. Thank you AGDQ staff and crew for supporting the Prevent Cancer Foundation for so long and setting up these amazing events, thank you PCF for all of the work you do in the fight against cancer, and thank you to the runners for putting your skills on display for this fantastic cause. May we have a world one day where cancer is defeated. |
