This one is for my godmother, a teacher and storyteller who first read me a lot of the classics – like Pinocchio. After a long and hard fight with breast cancer, she passed 5 years ago today. This run made me think about her again and how, with better funding for medical facilities in rural America, she may still be here today to keep telling stories. Thank you to Fats for the run, GDQ, and the prevent cancer for everything. |
