Long time watcher, first time donator! I'm so grateful for the work GDQ does not only for Doctors Without Borders during SGDQ, but also for the Prevent Cancer Foundation during AGDQ - unfortunately I'm always busy during the AGDQ week so I've never been able to donate! My mum died last November from complications caused by a rare form of cancer - Thymic Carcinoma. Numbers of patients for that cancer are in only the triple digits, and single digits in Australia, where I live. Doctors did everything they could - including aggressive chemo, radiation therapy and immunotherapy - and mum lived for nearly five years after her diagnosis. I am so grateful to BOTH the Prevent Cancer Foundation and Doctors Without Borders who both do incredible work to keep people like my mum alive. Thank you so much GDQ for everything you do for these charities. It really means a lot.
